Greetings! Welcome to my website.

I'd like to sincerely thank you for the time you spend with my music on the Alphasongs.net website, with my videos on YouTube, and other places my music is distributed. My hope is that this music and harmony for the human voice reaches you and connects you in some way to yourself and your feelings and perhaps to others and their feelings as well. Being in harmony with one another is worthy work to pursue in any situation, and it is my lifelong commitment.

After a long career in Information Technology (Data Engineering, in particular), I discovered months before the pandemic that I had the ability to conceptualize and compose music. I had also spent a couple years performing in a contemporary a cappella group at work and developed a new love for the intricate harmonies of contemporary a cappella music. We used Musescore's software notation to organize, practice, and learn our group's music. When I decided to leave this group, I gave Musescore a much closer examination and discovered Musescore's downloadable music notation software and took to it in a highly intuitive way.

Several months later, I composed a few original scores that appealed to at least to my ears and those of a few friends. Later, I shared a song with a professional composer, whose music I was performing with Kirkland Choral Society. That was a special moment as this composer has become my mentor and teacher for the last few years, helping me to develop my abilities to create my own music, something I consider to be a personal miracle.

In 2023, I got the first version f this website up and running. Now the website is re-launched with 22 songs in the catalog, including a couple of musical game ideas and a musical-theatre project.

I am most excited about introducing new videos and audio for all my song demos created using Musescore, Cantamus, Microsoft Clipchamp, Adobe, and other tools. On this website, you can peruse the new audio content on Soundcloud and video tracks on You Tube. Also you can read, download, and print perusal scores, lyrics, and program notes. Details and instructions about purchasing scores and performing these works are also being updated. My scores are available to purchase via the online order form. All songs are registered with ASCAP, from which you can purchase a performance license. Go to the new Performance page for details about upcoming performances. Alphasongs LLC is an ASCAP music publisher and registered in the state of Washington, USA.
