Happy stuff, mostly

Some thoughts giving me a happy outlook today on a personal level.. Often, I wake up in challenging emotional states, but today much smoother. With morning meditation things smooth out more and I'm able to have some focus on the music.

I am preparing to sing in a concert next month in Bellevue, WA on December 8th with my longtime masterworks choir, Kirkland Choral Society https://www.kirklandchoralsociety.org/ .

We rehearsed last night for the upcoming concert and the performance is really beginning to take shape. I've been with this group for 23 years now and I can't begin to tell you the impact this organization has had in the course of my life.

I can say that I keep finding little things to polish and fix up on this website, but for the most part things are very close to a wrap, I am working on my work's social media presence with an updated Alphasongs Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AlphasongsByMatt and a new Alphasongs Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/alphasongsmatt/ . I will be phasing out of my "Dbguru" Instagram profile over the next few months, since my days of being a database engineering guru are over. I'm also thinking of potential new channels for my work. But for the next few weeks I will be working on new works both of my own and for the musical. The new scores are now on my screen and writing these make me happy.

Over this last week, I reconnected with some good friends. I'm basically recharging my batteries today at home doing a couple cooking projects and enjoying the NFL Red Zone. Need to catch up on my mail and continue updating my social media. Still a few more weeks of this quiet launch phase, but I will be focused on marketing and connections soon. Anyway, please stay tuned.

Meanwhile, a couple new songs are getting started and I'm looking forward to a good week.
